A dreadful idea, for several reasons. Best summarized: Politics corrupt religion and vice versa.
Have you considered using a plug-in for the poll? But I’m not sure what wordpress.com gives you access to.

Didn’t Jesus say that his people and his kingdom was “not of this world”? Strange that all Christians can think of doing then is getting themselves deeper embroiled in politics and government. Shouldn’t they just get on with worship and leave those things to “god”? Could it be that Christians don’t really believe half the stuff they go on about?
That’d be my guess.
Personally, I think history proves that politics and religion go together like cars and alcohol, or drugs and cliff edges. Keep your religion out of politics. It has no place there.

Frankly I am a Proud and devout Christian, but Christians often disagree with each other, and I don’t want a Christian of a different persuasion speaking for me as if we all agreed.

I can understand that point of view. I would assume that any Christian political party would have to define what it means to be a Christian based on the Biblical understanding of the term. I also assume the definition would be limited to only the basics. I also would assume that the platform would have to be very detailed so that everyone who joins would be very clear on what they were joining. I would not join such a party without an understanding of what their positions were.
As an example, here is the Constitution Party’s platform. They seem to do a decent job at defining themselves.

Yes, Christians are “in the world not of the world”. This does not, however, relieve Christians from the responsibility to try to make the world a better place. If they are led to become involved in the government then that is what they are supposed to do. Separation of church and state is a myth that needs to be squashed. I do not mean to imply that we need to create a theocracy…but Christians should not be excluded from participation either.
